“Love is what we are born with. Fear is what we learn. The spiritual journey is the unlearning of fear and prejudices and the acceptance of love back in our hearts. Love is the essential reality and our purpose on earth. To be consciously aware of it, to experience love in ourselves and others, is the meaning of life. Meaning does not lie in things. Meaning lies in us.”

FrogHops Sports is Veteran owned racing company. We organize a series of running events throughout the year in Libertyville, IL. They are: The “Bunny Wabbit” Run with an Easter Egg Hunt in the spring, the “Freedom Frog” Run in the summer and the “Arctic Frog” Endurance Run in the winter.
Rey Letada, our founder is a retired U.S. Navy Chief Hospital Corpsman. A former Navy Diver, Naval Parachutist and a combat veteran of Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom.
Rey suffered from injuries as a result of his twenty two and a half years of honorable military service but in spite of it all, he stayed positive by running again when he finally can after months of intense physical therapy. He also came to the realization that running is not only a good way to honor his comrades-in-arms but a far better cure than any drug. Seven marathons, four 50k, five 50 miler, three Ragnar, six 100 milers, one 150 Ultra marathon, three half distance triathlon and a full IRONMAN later, to date he continues to honor his friends who made the Ultimate Sacrifice serving our country. It is his hope to inspire, motivate and share his love of the sport through all of FrogHops events.
"For me, running is rejuvenating as it is liberating. I do most of my thinking when I am running; especially when I am stuck. Running can be transformative and transcendent. It also makes our minds so much stronger every step of the way." -Rey Letada

Meet Our Team
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

“Success means we go to sleep at night knowing that our talents and abilities were used in a way that served others.”
